We can do many things with thermal monoculars because of their abilities to see farer and better than human eyes.
As a result, we have numerous gadgets that have made it possible to see both in the dark and during the day.

Some of the monoculars include AGM Global Vision ASP-Micro TM160 vs Flir Scout. If you want to the differences between these two, we have made it easier for you.

Records images and video. | |
Robust, easy to use design. |
TM60 vs Flir Scout TK
The Asp-Micro TM160 Thermal Imaging Monocular from AGM is a compact optic that uses heat signatures for viewing and recording images in the dark.
The FLIR Scout TK is a pocket-sized thermal vision monocular that can view over 100 yards (90 m) away
Also, the ability to deploy in low-light conditions while utilizing a night vision device (NVD) can provide a tremendous advantage in a tactical situation.
How do you reset FLIR Scout TK?
- Tap the touch screen to show the menu bar.
- Select Settings (gear button).
- Select Device Settings.
- Select Reset Options.
- Select Reset device settings to factory default
How far can you see with a FLIR Scout?
The FLIR Scout TK is a pocket-sized thermal vision monocular that reveals surroundings and helps people to see things over 100 yards (90 m) away.
What does FLIR stand for?
The term FLIR stands for the Forward Looking InfraRed. The FLIR originated in the course of the further development of the infrared camera at the beginning of the 1960s.
Can FLIR see through water?
Yes. Water can block a lot of infrared wavelengths, much as an opaque barrier blocks visible light wavelengths.
Is 12 microns better than 17 microns?
12 μm is stronger than 17 μm. Compared to the 17 μm, the 12 μm detector for thermal monocular has a lot of advantages.
Surprisingly, the observation distance between a 12 μm detector with a 25 mm lens monocular and a 17 μm detector with a 35 mm lens monocular proved to be the same.
In addition, it was also noted that when these monoculars use both the 25 mm lens, the observation distance of the 12 μm detector is 30% more than that of the 17 μm detector.
Advantages
- The material which is used for the 12 μm detector is VOx. The VOx has more significant advantages over a-Si.
- NETD is less than 40mK, 14-bit digital output is supported.
- It has higher sensitivity and is very easy to use,
- In comparison with IRay products, it keeps the primary competitive advantages
Presently, there has been mass production of the IRay 12 micron 1280×1024, 640×512, 384×288, and 256×192 full range detectors
